Job Description

Job Summary:

The Masonry Products Sales Manager and Technical Specialist will play a critical role in driving sales and providing expert technical support for our masonry products. This individual will lead a team of three direct reports, guiding them to achieve sales targets, build strong relationships with clients, and offer technical solutions for complex architectural masonry projects. The ideal candidate possesses a blend of sales acumen, technical expertise, and leadership skills.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.*
* Lead and mentor a team of three direct reports, ensuring their professional growth and success.*
* Monitor and analyze sales performance, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure goals are met.*
* Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional materials and campaigns tailored to the architectural masonry market.*
* Serve as the primary technical expert on masonry products, providing guidance to clients, architects, contractors, and your sales team.*
* Conduct technical presentations and training sessions to educate clients and team members on the benefits and proper use of our products.*
* Assist in the resolution of technical issues, providing solutions that align with industry standards and client needs.*
* Work closely with the product development team to provide feedback and insights based on client interactions and market demands.*
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including architects, builders, and contractors.*
* Deliver outstanding customer service and support to all clients.*
* Organize and conduct informative presentations to showcase our product offerings.*
* Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base within the architectural masonry sector.*
* Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring favorable terms for the company.*
* Provide regular coaching and development opportunities for your team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.*
* Conduct performance reviews, set individual goals, and ensure accountability within the team.
* Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new opportunities.*
* Utilize platforms to uncover upcoming project opportunities and engage with architects and designers to drive product specifications.*
* Provide market feedback to senior management to inform product development and strategic planning.*

Skills/Abilities:

* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
* High level of technical expertise in masonry products and their applications.
* Proficient in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools.
* Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (10+ years).
* Technical certification in masonry or related areas is a plus.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural masonry sales or technical support preferred.
* Proven track record of leading a sales team and achieving sales targets is preferred.
* Strong technical knowledge of masonry products, materials, and construction practices preferred.

Working Environment and Physical Demands:

* Usually, normal office working conditions but may occasionally require work outside of normal office conditions.
* The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate in operational areas.
* The position may require work outside of normal business hours.
* Tempo is fast paced with deadlines.
* Must be able to lift and carry 30 pounds.*
