Job Description
Think FE, working in partnership with a Northamptonshire college, is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant with a kind and caring nature to join their team.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (38 weeks per year)
Salary: £19,947.87 per annum (pro rata to the full-time equivalent of £24,123.00 per annum)
About the Role:
The successful candidate will work alongside skilled tutors in practical lessons such as sports, animal care, and construction. This role requires someone who is physically fit and hands-on, as it involves standing throughout lessons and actively participating in various activities. There may also be opportunities to accompany students on off-campus trips to places like zoos, museums, or local shops as part of a diverse curriculum.
Responsibilities:
Support students with their educational needs to ensure they succeed and reach their full potential.
Collaborate with tutors during practical lessons.
Encourage independent learning among students.
Participate in outdoor and hands-on classroom environments. Requirements:
GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above (or equivalent).
Enthusiastic and positive attitude towards supporting young people.
Experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
Ability to clearly explain suitability and motivation for the role in the application. Benefits:
