Job Description
A loyal client to Sphere are looking to appoint an Quantity Surveyor / Estimator, to commence a new role with immediate effect.
Your new company are a large specialist RC Subcontractor, who operate extensively across the South West and Wales. They specialise in RC Frame, Bridge Structures, Water, and Waste schemes.
Duties and responsibilities will Include.
* Experience 10+years as a QS, with knowledge of Reinforced Concrete Frames and Structures.
* Liaise with Pre-con, and Construction teams to build-up and review Tenders.
* Evaluate and act upon Tender information and develop an appropriate Bid / Procurement strategy with other members of the team.
* Obtaining Quotes and Procurement of materials, Suppliers & Sub-contractors
* Competent in Estimating.
* Prepare BQs and Take-offs
* Prepare and deliver CVR’s to Senior Management.
* Project Cost Control
* Manage Project specific financials, from reviewing contracts to Final account stage.
* Knowledge and experience working with NEC & JCT contracts
* Deal with Contractual and Legal matters that arise on the projects.
* Liaise with clients on a regular basis to secure future projects.
