Job Description

Job Title: Commercial Operations Manager

Contract Length: 6 Months ~ Possible extension to 12 Months

Pay set up: Day Rate ~ Awaiting IR35 Confirmation

Location: Heston ~ 3 days weekly.


Overview:

We are partnered with a leading services organisation to the aviation industry who are looking for a Commercial Operations Manager.


As the Commercial Operations Manager you are responsible for the accurate setup of airline requirements in the system, from data entry to finalizing flight details. This includes managing airline information, aircraft types, meal/goods loadings, additional services, and ensuring proper planning, scheduling, and billing.


The role leads a team providing day-to-day support to internal stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution of inquiries and issues. Additionally, it drives operational efficiency and supports financial targets by implementing best practices and improving data maintenance processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervised daily operations of the Costing team, ensuring accurate data entry and maintenance.
  • Provided clear direction, improved motivation, and served as a point of contact for escalations.
  • Managed resourcing, prioritizing tasks to ensure optimal coverage and consistent support services.
  • Set performance goals, tracked metrics, and conducted regular evaluations, offering feedback and recognition.
  • Delivered ongoing training, coaching, and professional development to enhance team knowledge and skills.
  • Provided feedback to ensure team satisfaction, succession planning, and career progression.
  • Collaborated with internal teams (e.g., Commercial, Costing, Account Support, Billing) to ensure data accuracy and seamless processes.
  • Provided customized reports to internal stakeholders
  • Establish and monitor quality standards and procedures to ensure process efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimisation and new ways of working, and lead the implementation of solutions.
  • Set up of new airline accounts.


Must Haves:

  • Evidence of working at middle management level in a relevant field.
  • Have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding time scales.
  • Have experience of process optimisation
  • Experience of automating relevant processes
  • Experience of managing and developing a team
  • Excellent numerical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
