We are representing a leading global consultancy looking for a Major Programmes Director to spearhead multi-billion-pound capital programmes in the Infrastructure, Energy, and Defence sectors across the UK.

About the Role:

In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership and successful delivery of major programmes, ensuring alignment with client objectives and stakeholder needs. Your exceptional stakeholder management skills will be crucial in navigating complex relationships and driving project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, execution, and governance of large-scale capital programmes, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, and contractors.
• Provide strategic oversight on commercial, contractual, and risk management aspects, ensuring compliance and alignment with best practices.
• Mentor and guide project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
• Continuously assess programme performance, implementing improvements to mitigate risks and enhance outcomes.

Key Requirements:

• Extensive experience in leading major programmes within the Infrastructure, Energy, or Defence sectors.
• Proven track record of exceptional stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Strong understanding of commercial, contract, and risk management principles.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Chartered status) and a solid grasp of project management methodologies.
