Commercial Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Manager to join our client's team in East Kilbride. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong technical background and a proven track record in securing and managing multi-year contracts within the engineering sector.

Reporting to the Operations Director, and in turn the board, your role will be varied, though some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the commercial process for multi-layered bids, from RFQ through to award.
• Developing and delivering winning technical and commercial proposals for multi-year contracts across multiple sites.
• Managing client relationships throughout the bid process, building trust and ensuring a successful outcome.
• Negotiating and finalizing commercial contracts, mitigating risk and maximising profit potential
• Working collaboratively with internal teams (engineering, production) to ensure bids are technically sound and commercially viable.

It is expected that you shall have a degree in an engineering-related subject, additional business qualifications would be advantageous. You will also have a background in engineering or machining, and have at least 5 years commercial management experience, with a demonstrable record of success. You will have strong skills in bidding, pricing, contract negotiation, and multi-year contracts. It goes without saying you will have strong communication skills, but key to this role is the desire to develop.
