Social Value Manager - Rotherham Council

At Social Value Portal, we are pioneers in social value measurement and reporting. Since our inception in 2014, we have unlocked over £39bn in social value. As part of our expansion, we need a Social Value Manager to work with Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC) to enhance social value processes and support the council and its partners.

Why You'll Love This Role:

• Location: Hybrid working with 2 days in the Rotherham Council office.
• Manchester or London office – 1 day a month
• Contract: Full-time, 12-month fixed-term with potential for extension.
• Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead social value initiatives within RMBC and the wider Rotherham community.
• Manage a Social Value Officer, guiding them in driving social value processes.
• Engage and inspire internal and external stakeholders to maximise social value.
• Support procurement teams and manage social value reporting using the TOM System.

What You Bring:

• A passion for social value and a proactive, self-starting attitude.
• Strong data analysis skills and experience with Excel and CRM platforms.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written.
• Experience in project management, report writing, and stakeholder engagement.
