Finance, Data & BI Analyst (6-Month FTC)

Location: London (1 x a week in office)

Salary: Up to £60,000

Type: Full-Time, 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract

We are seeking a Data & Business Intelligence Analyst for an initial 6-month fixed-term contract to play a critical role in transforming a public sectors organisation financial reporting and data capabilities. In this role, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders, especially within Finance, to design and implement robust data solutions using Power BI to improve forecasting, budgeting, and monthly reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the Data & Analytics and Finance teams to deliver data sets and financial management templates that enhance business planning and reporting processes.
• Design and implement Power BI solutions to improve financial forecasting, budgeting, and monthly accounting processes.
• Lead the creation of data models, and ensure quality, accuracy, and accessibility of data produced.
• Identify and document business requirements, supporting key data-driven projects and financial reporting initiatives.
• Enhance and maintain Data Governance artifacts, including data dictionaries, KPI definitions, and data models.
• Support activities such as data cleansing, data migration, and ETL processes to ensure data quality.

Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency in Power BI, with a strong background in financial data reporting and analysis.
• Experience in data governance, data modelling, and financial systems.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Experience in ETL, data migration, and ensuring data quality.
• Strong communication skills to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
