Job Opportunity: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

My client specialises in security printing and anti-counterfeiting solutions, specifically targeting the protection of supply chains, currencies, and government-issued documents.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join a dynamic team and ensure that all plant and equipment are maintained to maximize productivity, quality, and safety. Role Overview

The Maintenance Engineer will work independently, reporting to the Engineering Front Line Manager (FLM), and will use their initiative to solve problems and make key decisions. They will collaborate with various departments and liaise with Project Engineers when technical guidance is required. The Maintenance Engineer will play a vital role in ensuring production, quality, and safety standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Compliance: Ensure all activities adhere to Health, Safety, Environmental, and ethical policies.
Proactive Maintenance: Carry out routine safety checks and identify preventative maintenance opportunities to minimize disruptions.
Production Support: Provide technical expertise and support to production teams in resolving engineering challenges.
Problem Solving: Perform root cause analysis and diagnose mechanical or electrical failures, ensuring swift repairs.
Stock Management: Maintain engineering maintenance part inventories and liaise with suppliers to secure necessary materials.
Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements and maintain equipment to ensure maximum performance and efficiency.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Educational Background: HNC/HND in Engineering or Electronics, or equivalent qualifications, alongside a craft apprenticeship or similar experience.
Practical Experience: Demonstrated expertise in a similar maintenance role, ideally with knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and maintenance systems.
Technical Skills: Proficient in mechanical and electrical engineering with familiarity in control techniques, Allen Bradley systems, and ATEX environments.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to perform under pressure, diagnose issues quickly, and implement effective solutions.
Team Collaboration: Strong communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
Motivation and Drive: Enthusiastic about continuous improvement and committed to maintaining high standards of work.
