Commercial Project Lead
Location: Near Chester, North West England (Hybrid: 3 days on-site, 2 days remote)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Rate: £525 per day / £70 per hour
Start Date: 19th September 2024
Duration: 4 months (possibility of extension)
Expenses: Business travel expenses outside of North-West England covered
Are you a seasoned commercial professional with expertise in the Power and Chemical industries? We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a Commercial Project Lead to join an industrial client based near Chester. This hybrid role offers a unique blend of on-site presence and remote work, with occasional business travel that could extend internationally.
Key Responsibilities of the Commercial Project Lead:
- Provide crucial support during early project development phases.
- Benchmark contractor costs and ensure alignment with industry standards.
- Review and analyse equipment, materials, and labour costs across various project components.
- Advise on commercial and cost-related aspects, ensuring changes follow established procedures.
- Lead cost review meetings and represent the client in contractor discussions.
- Deliver ad-hoc commercial support to the client and project team as needed.
What Were Looking For:
- Experience: 10+ years in a senior commercial role on large-scale projects, valued in the hundreds of millions to over a billion pounds.
- Sector Expertise: Strong knowledge of the Power and Chemical industries.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiar with civil, mechanical, pipework, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines in industrial sectors, such as power, chemical, oil, and gas.
- Contract Familiarity: Hands-on experience with EPC or EPCM contracts, preferably under the IChemE contract form.
