Job Title: Spanish Teacher (MFL)
Location: Hitchin, Hertfordshire
Contract Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term (1 Term)
Duration: Until January 2025
Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)

The school is seeking a dedicated Spanish Teacher to join their Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) department for a one-term, fixed-term contract.
The Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and skilled Spanish Teacher to contribute to the school’s MFL department. You will be responsible for teaching Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and effective lessons that cater to students of varying abilities. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about fostering a love of languages and supporting students in their linguistic development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver high-quality Spanish lessons in line with the national curriculum.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning.
* Create a positive and motivating classroom atmosphere that encourages language acquisition.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop engaging teaching resources and share best practices.
* Support students in preparing for assessments and exams, ensuring they achieve their potential.
* Contribute to the wider school community, participating in departmental meetings and events.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Spanish or a related subject.
* Experience teaching Spanish at secondary school level, with a solid understanding of the UK curriculum.
* A passion for languages and a commitment to helping students develop their language skills.
* Strong communication and classroom management skills.
* The ability to adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
* A collaborative and flexible approach, with a willingness to contribute to the MFL department.
