Senior Superintendent

Job Title: Senior Superintendent (ICI) Location: Hamilton, Canada Salary: up to $150,000 per year (Based on experince) Employment Type: Full-time Job Description: As a Senior Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site activities of construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Your leadership, expertise in ICI construction, and dedication to excellence will be instrumental in delivering successful projects that meet and exceed client expectations. Responsibilities: Provide on-site leadership and supervision to construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards. Coordinate and schedule all construction activities, including manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractor services, to optimize productivity and efficiency. Monitor and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, regulations, and best practices to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel on-site. Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to assess workmanship, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective actions as necessary. Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to resolve issues, mitigate risks, and ensure project milestones are achieved. Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and as-built drawings, to track project performance and facilitate project closeout. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by providing guidance, support, and mentorship to construction teams and promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Requirements: Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI) projects. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish, preferably within the Toronto and surrounding areas. Extensive knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse project teams and stakeholders. Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills, with a proactive and results-oriented approach to project management. Proficiency in construction management software and tools, such as Procore, PlanGrid, or equivalent. Must have P.Eng in Canada.
