Diesel Mechanic

Job specific requirements: Education Minimum Grade 10/Grade 12 advantageous Certification: Red Seal Diesel Mechanic Experience: 3-5 years in a mining environment, with specific Diesel Mechanic experience on Sandvik (Drillrig) DD 211, 321, (Bolter) DS211L-M, 221L, 311, (LHD) LH 410. GHH (LHD) 5.2, 5.5, 6.2. (Utility Vehicle) 40, 60. AARD (Utility Vehicle) Hencon Altecreter, Dieci Telehandler Must be fit to obtain a medical certificate of fitness and declared fit to work on a mine. Competent in diesel machine systems, including diagnostics, repair, and maintenance, ensuring safe and effective operations in a mining environment. Competent B certificate Underground Hard rock operations Medical Certificate of Fitness to work Underground Responsibilities: Perform regular maintenance checks on diesel-powered vehicles, equipment, and machinery Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in a timely manner Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all diesel equipment Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs Participate in maintaining a high level of safety awareness and adherence to safety standards. Adhere to maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks. Work collaboratively with other team members and provide support when needed. Able to work to deadlines and remain effective under pressure A teamwork mentality to achieve results Effective listener with well-developed interpersonal skills
