Role Overview:As a Residential Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering some of the most prestigious residential projects in the region. You will help oversee cost management and financial planning for various residential construction projects and you will work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors. Your role is to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Successful candidates will have a strong background in Quantity Surveying within the private sector, with particular expertise in high-end residential developments. Your experience will allow you to manage the financial aspects of complex projects while also supporting junior team members in their professional growth (for more senior candidates).

We are seeking candidates from Intermediate level all the way through to Senior level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation & Planning: Provide accurate cost estimates and financial advice at all stages of the project lifecycle, from feasibility through to completion.
- Budget Management: Control project costs by preparing, monitoring, and maintaining project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Tender Documentation: Prepare tender documents for contractor procurement.
- Contract Management: Administer construction contracts (JCT, NEC, etc.), ensuring that all contractual obligations are met and resolving any issues that arise.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring financial robustness throughout the project.
- Client Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for clients, delivering cost management advice and maintaining strong working relationships.
- Value Engineering: Ensure optimal value for money by assessing and advising on project design options and procurement strategies.
- Team Support: Mentor and guide junior surveyors, offering advice and sharing industry best practices (for more senior candidates).
- Project Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial updates and reports for senior management and clients, including cost-to-complete reports and cash flow forecasts.
- Note: The above responsibilities may vary depending on what level you will be working at.
- Experience: Ideally have multiple years of experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably within residential development projects (private sector). Previous experience in consultancy is essential.
- Education: BSc in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. MRICS or equivalent chartered status is preferred for more senior candidates.
- Contract Knowledge: Strong understanding of residential construction contracts (JCT, NEC, or bespoke agreements).
- Software Proficiency: Competent in cost management software such as CostX, Bluebeam, or similar.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and client-facing skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
