Job title: Azure Developer

Contract Length: Six Months

Location: London (Hybrid)

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Azure Developer to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and a deep understanding of Azure services.

Responsibilities:

Design and Development:

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable, reliable, and secure applications on Azure.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using languages like C#, Python, or JavaScript.
• Utilize Azure services such as Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines.

Integration and Deployment:

• Integrate Azure services with on-premises systems or other cloud services.
• Implement and manage deployment processes using Azure DevOps or similar tools.

Monitoring and Optimization:

• Set up monitoring and alerting systems using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Optimize applications for performance, cost, and scalability.

Security:

• Ensure applications meet security standards and compliance requirements within Azure.
• Implement Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions using Azure AD.

Troubleshooting and Support:

• Diagnose and resolve issues in cloud applications, providing support to other teams as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotations for production support.

Documentation and Training:

• Document solutions,, and processes.
• Provide training and guidance to less experienced team members on Azure best practices.

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in software development.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure PaaS services, Azure IaaS, and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with at least one modern programming language like C#, Python, or JavaScript.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
• Knowledge of Azure services like Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage, Azure Cosmos DB, etc.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of network security, including VPNs, VNet peering, and Azure Firewall.
• Good understanding of software architecture patterns and best practices.

Certifications:

• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Developer Associate) are a plus.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload effectively.
