Lead Data Engineer

This role is perm and hybrid - 3 times a week on site at the office in Paris.

About the Job

As a Team Leader in Data Engineering, you will be responsible for:

• Leading and managing the Data Engineering team.
• Ensuring the seamless operation of the lakehouse on Snowflake, as well as managing data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
• Overseeing the integration of digital data on GCP with operational data stored in Snowflake.
• Organizing data collection from various systems (digital, POS, OMS, 3PL, WMS, etc.) across all territories where the company manufactures or distributes its products.
• Collaborating with the Master Data team to implement Data Quality components.
• Working closely with Product Owner and Dataviz Engineer teams to deliver the required Data Sets, while adhering to priorities, costs, and deadlines.
• Establishing a continuous improvement process.
• Preparing the Data platform for future developments, including the integration of Data Science and/or AI algorithms.
• Prioritizing tasks based on their importance, urgency, and development complexity.
• Delivering high-quality data sets within deadlines and budget constraints.
• Ensuring the daily operations of platforms run smoothly.

Technical Environment:

• ETL: Matillion (Cloud) and DBT
• Dataviz: QlikSense
• Cloud Data Platform: Snowflake on Microsoft Azure
• Languages: SQL, Python
• Product-oriented or Agile Kanban methodology

Technical Skills:

• Engineering degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 7 years of experience as a Data Engineer, including at least 2 years in team management.
• Operational proficiency in English.
• Expertise in SQL and data analysis methodologies.
