SUMMARY: This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented, experienced Interior Designer with a commercial office background to join a fast-growing team.

The Interior Design position is responsible for producing quality, cutting-edge commercial office interior design projects. The Interior Designer will ensure the drawings and designs are completed on time and adhere to the established specifications, drawing standards and code compliance. They may prepare project schedules, bids, or proposals. This position relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. This position will handle a variety of sized projects and can span all activities of supporting a project.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create attractive designs and layouts for various projects
  • Attend client meetings with the Sales Consultants, gathering information for successful design solution, leading portions of the conversation sharing expertise and knowledge
  • Field verification and measurement of site conditions
  • Communicate effectively with client, vendors and team in order to address client's needs
  • Prepare presentations (3D, 2D, mock-ups and renderings) for clients
  • Create quotes for clients and ensure full workflow is followed
  • Maintain industry knowledge in order to stay relevant
  • Maintain vendor contact information for pricing updates and new product updates
  • Maintain knowledge of changes to product environment, product competition, and product discounting
  • Uphold the company’s core values and brand standards to ensure a strong brand presence for all marketing deliverable
  • Perform other duties required by supervisor

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of a four-year program or equivalent work experience with a two-year degree in Interior Design
  • 2-5 years Dealership experience
  • Preferred experience in using furniture specifying software
  • Proficiency in using AutoCAD, Microsoft Office programs, Adobe and CAP 2020
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate among a wide variety of audiences
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be comfortable working in groups and participating in cross-functional teams towards a common goal
  • Travel as necessary
  • Possession of a valid NC driver license
  • Ability to pass the company background and Motor Vehicle Report and the company drug testing requirements.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

All employees are expected to cross-train and multi-task.

Hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
