Job Description
Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor.
Location: Manchester, Greater Manchester.
Salary / Benefits £24k - £40k + Training + Benefits
We have an exciting opportunity for a BOHS P402 qualified Asbestos Surveyor to join an industry leading and professional Asbestos Consultancy in the North West region. This role would suit someone who has extensive experience carrying out Asbestos Surveying in line with HSG 264 guidelines on a mixed portfolio of sites, including Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Domestic, Construction and Educational sites. Our client can offer opportunities for further Pcert training, career development, enrolment onto the company pension scheme, and a generous holiday allowance. Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate must be happy to travel in line with company / client needs.
Consideration will be given to candidates from: Oldham, Rochdale, Bury, Burnley, Preston, Blackpool, Bolton, St Helens. Liverpool, Birkenhead, Wallasey, Warrington, Chester, Buxton, Crewe, Macclesfield, Buxton, Huddersfield, Keighley, Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield.
Experience & Qualifications:
" Holding the BOHS P402 or RSPH equivalent is essential to the role.
" Will have experience carrying out asbestos surveys on a mixed portfolio of sites for a UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy.
" Able to demonstrate excellent knowledge of HSG 264 guidelines.
" Familiar using TEAMS / TRACKER systems.
The Role:
" Attending Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Domestic, Construction and Educational sites.
" Carrying out management, refurbishment and demolition surveys.
" Undertaking re-inspection surveys upon completion of work.
" Sampling of suspected ACMs.
" Safely bagging and correctly labelling ACM samples prior to sending for analysis.
" Using TEAMS / TRACKER systems to produce detailed, site-specific reports.
" Working in line with HSG 264 guidelines.
" Providing excellent consultancy advice and technical support to clients when required.
