In your role as a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be essential in ensuring our equipment runs smoothly and efficiently, helping our customers reach their productivity goals. Responsibilities
  • Conducting repairs, servicing, and proactive maintenance on our customers' materials handling equipment.
  • Conduct thorough diagnosis of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults, and execute repairs efficiently in both time and cost.
  • Foster and sustain strong client relationships, ensuring we consistently deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborate with the parts department to maintain optimal stock levels for our company vehicles.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all service activities.
  • Manage and organize your service schedule to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime for customers.
  • Ensure all documentation meets our high company standards.

Requirements

To qualify for the Field Service Engineer position, we are looking for a mechanical engineer who brings along some electrical experience. While experience with material handling products is a plus, we welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds including: Automotive, Roadside Recovery, Agricultural, REME, Construction Equipment, PSV, HGV, LGV, or Plant industries. A valid UK driving licence is a must!

To maintain our machines, candidates require a working knowledge and some practical experience of most of the following disciplines (full, in-depth product training will be given):

  • Experience of working on mobile machinery (brakes, steering, wheels, lift chains etc.)
  • Electrical drive and control systems
  • Diesel and LPG engines and common drive-trains
  • Hydraulics
  • Some computer/electronic based diagnostic experience would be considered an advantage
  • Experience working on Wire Guided VNA’s desirable but not essential.
