Scientific Translator (Japanese/English)

Scientific Translator Location: Preference Hamilton / GTA but flexible to remote. Job Type: 6 month contract, can extend or convert to Full-Time Job Description: We are seeking a Scientific Translator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both Japanese and English, with an understanding of scientific terminology and concepts. This role involves translating communication between Stakeholders and may involve translating scientific documents, and research papers, ensuring accuracy and clarity. Responsibilities: Translate from Japanese to English and vice versa. Ensure the accuracy and clarity of translated materials. Collaborate stakeholders, scientists and researchers to understand context and nuances. Assist in verbal communications and meetings as needed. Work with the Global Development team to ensure seamless communication. Travel as required (expenses paid by the client). Requirements: Strong understanding of scientific terminology and concepts. Proficiency in Japanese language and culture. Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or related field. Previous experience in translation or a related role. Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
