Job DetailsA hospital in California is looking for an experienced Labor & Delivery/PP nurse for a travel contract.- Unit: Labor and Deliver- Requirements: 2 years of prior experience in L&D, prefers travel experience- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Deliver down to 23 wks, some high risk- Antepartum, HTN , plan to tx out if known cardiac abnormality. Have perinatology support
Job RequirementsThe right candidate will have 2 full years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN and CA License.- Requirements: 2 years of prior experience in L&D, prefers travel experience- C-section experience required: Yes- scrub, recovery, and circulate experience required for L&D
Schedule Information- Shifts: 12 hr shifts- 7a, 11a, and 7p- Weekend Requirement: 4 shifts in a 4 week period- Holidays: 1 Major, 1 Minor. Major RN holidays: Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Yrs. Major Tech holidays: Christmas and New Years
Unit Specific Information- # L&D Beds: 10 beds - 2 OR's in L&D- # triage beds: 2 beds- # Postpartum beds: 18 beds- # births per day, per year: 130 births per month- FHM System: Obix fetal monitoring- Charge Nurse: Yes- shared between L&D and PP- Floating: PP-no unless NICU background for feeder/grower, L&D to postpartum. Typically don't work interchangeably- Floor specific orientation: 3 Shifts
Additional DetailsACLS, AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM), BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certificate;**11/6 Start Date ONLY****Experience needed in the Mother baby/Postpartum units ****Required to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (which includes the day before, holiday, and day after)**
