Conservation Architect
Job Type: Full Time

My client is seeking an experienced and talented Conservation Architect to join their team, specializing in bespoke private residential projects. This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled architect with 5+ years of qualified professional experience who is looking for a challenging and rewarding career. We are looking for an ambitious, dynamic, motivated, and creative individual to contribute to high-end residential projects with a focus on conservation and traditional detailing.

Key Responsibilities:

* Project Delivery: Manage and deliver projects across all RIBA work stages, ensuring high standards of construction detailing and adherence to regulations.

* Technical Expertise: Develop detailed technical drawings for traditional residential projects, with a strong emphasis on high-end bespoke detailing.

* Independent and Team Work: Capable of working independently without supervision as well as within complex, multi-agency teams.

* Client and Stakeholder Management: Confidently consult with clients, design team consultants, and other stakeholders, building trust and ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

* Project Management: Plan and deliver work programs, adjust priorities and schedules to meet deadlines, and ensure projects are delivered within agreed timeframes, costs, and resource constraints.

* Financial Control: Take responsibility for the financial management of projects, including overseeing budgets, resource allocation, and reporting on profitability.

What We’re Looking For:

* Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of qualified professional experience in architecture, with solid experience in traditional technical residential detailing. Experience in high-end bespoke project detailing is highly desirable.

* Design and Technical Skills: Strong design abilities with an eye for detail, coupled with excellent technical detailing skills.

* Problem-Solving: A practical problem-solving approach and the ability to manage a complex workload.

* Knowledge and Regulations: Thorough understanding of UK planning, building regulations, building systems, and construction types.

* Contract Knowledge: Good knowledge of building contracts and contract administration.

* Software Skills: Experience with ArchiCAD is an advantage, although training will be provided for the right candidate.

* Architectural Concepts: Working knowledge of traditional and classical architectural concepts is beneficial, although not essential. An interest in the work is crucial.

* Flexibility and Travel: Willingness to travel within the UK as required.

Key Competencies:

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable working independently or as part of a team.

* Ability to quickly gain the trust of clients, consultants, and team members.

* Capable of adjusting priorities to meet project deadlines and delivering high-quality work within agreed timeframes.

* Financial acumen in managing project budgets and resources.
