Role Overview: Join the dynamic Risk department as a Quantitative Analytics Manager within the Retail IRB Modelling team. This high-profile role involves developing and maintaining Retail IRB models, ensuring alignment with business strategies, regulatory requirements, and internal standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a team of quantitative modellers to develop models that meet strategic IRB requirements, ensuring high-quality documentation and adherence to timelines.
• Engage with internal stakeholders to plan, build, validate, approve, implement, and utilise the developed models.
• Provide model assurance to maintain model effectiveness and accuracy.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for retail IRB models.
• Manage technical analysts, including line management responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Experience with Basel IRB modelling requirements and regulations, with a proven track record in Credit Risk modelling (IRB/IFRS9).
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with expertise in relevant mathematical approaches and advanced computer literacy (SAS, Python, or R).
• Degree in a highly numerate subject or equivalent experience.
• Advanced knowledge in quantitative and analytical solutions.
• Background in statistics, finance, or advanced analytics.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with retail portfolios.
• Experience managing a team and/or multiple concurrent projects.

Additional Information:

• The role can be based in Milton Keynes or Manchester.
• They offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern, requiring at least 12 days per month in the office for Milton Keynes and 5 days per month for Manchester (pro-rata for part-time roles).
