Job Description

Our Logistics client is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to manage and grow accounts in Altona.


As a Business Development Manager, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and expanding market reach. Your key responsibilities will include identifying new business opportunities, fostering strong client relationships, and developing strategic plans that align with the company's objectives. You will oversee the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure, while ensuring ongoing business success and profitability.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the logistics and supply chain sector

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their logistics needs and offering tailored solutions

  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery to clients

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to stay ahead in the market

  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring favorable terms for both the client and the company

  • Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to senior management


Requirements:



  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, or similar role within the logistics or supply chain industry

  • Strong understanding of logistics services, including freight forwarding, warehousing, and distribution

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships

  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify market opportunities

  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office
