An excellent opportunity is now available for Registered Nursed to join the team on the Haematology/Oncology ward at Nepean Hospital. This role is a Temporary role in either a Full time or Part time in a 6 month contract - with possible extension.

Your role as a Registered Nurse will be respond effectively to emergency situations, the changing status of patients/clients, clinical concerns, adverse events, critical incidents and complaints. At all times you will act as an advocate to assist patients/clients, families and carers, make informed decisions in relation to their Health Care needs, treating them with respect and responding to their needs.

What you will bring to the role:

  1. Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
  2. Demonstrated experience and clinical skill as a Registered Nurse (including completion of a new graduate year or equivalent experience working as a registered Nurse).
  3. Demonstrated capacity to provide effective nursing care that is person centred, family inclusive and culturally sensitive to people accessing health services.
  4. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
  5. Demonstrated effective communications written and verbal skills
  6. Demonstrated commitment to professional development
  7. Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
  8. Ability to work a flexible roster, day evening or night shift across all days of the week.

Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
