Arabic Bilingual Mental Health Clinician, Team 3 Community - St George Mental Health Service Employment Type: Temporary Part Time until 17 August 2025
Position Classification: Occupational Therapist Level 1, Occupational Therapist Level 2, Psychologist, Registered Nurse, Social Worker Level 1, Social Worker Level 2
Remuneration: $35.33 - $55.17 per hour plus superannuation

Are you a Mental Health Clinician who is bilingual in English and Arabic? We require a clinician who is able to join our team and provide a culturally sensitive service within St George Mental Health Service.

There are two temporary part time positions available: 2 days per week and 3 days per week.

Where you'll be working

Are you a Mental Health Clinician who is bilingual in English and Arabic? We require an experienced mental health clinician who is able to join our team and provide a culturally sensitive service to consumers within St George Mental Health Service catchment area. Community Mental Health, St George Mental Health Service, Kirk Place, Kogarah.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Professional qualification in either Social Work (eligible for membership of AASW), Occupational Therapy with current registration with AHPRA, Registered Nurse with current registration with AHPRA; Psychologist with current registration with AHPRA.
  2. High level verbal and written communication skills with fluency in designated community language (Arabic) in addition to English.
  3. Demonstrated culturally sensitive experience in the mental health assessment, treatment and management of persons with a mental illness using a consumer focussed recovery-oriented approach and consumer collaboration in care planning.
  4. Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  5. Demonstrated skills in time management and prioritisation of work.
  6. Computer literacy skills.
  7. Current NSW Driver’s Licence.
