The Dermatology department at The Children's Hospital at Westmead is seeking a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) for a duration of 234 hours per annum for the contracted quinquennium period until 30th June 2027.

What you'll be doing
Provide contemporary comprehensive specialist dermatology services for optimal patient outcomes.
Provide and support training to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.

As this is a “Category A” position, please refer to the NSW Policy Directive PD2024_015 Occupational Assessment Screening and Vaccination for vaccination requirements.

1. Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Dermatologist and/or overseas trained specialist pathways
2. Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Dermatology at the role delineation of the service
3. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team
4. Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills
5. Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement
6. Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time
