In this role, you'll:


Our Road Maintenance and Motorways Partnership team are seeking a Quality Control Officer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide a specialist quality control capability in an advanced or specialist trade/ engineering discipline. The role is expected to lead highly complex or specialist activities on nominated contract works for the administration of road, bridge and/or maritime maintenance and construction works to ensure delivery in accordance with client time, quality, and scope requirement.  

You will be involved in:


Provide the on the ground view of issues that may be systems of a failure within the quality, maintenance or safety frameworks of the contracts and act as the voice of the customer for our combined networks.

Identify possible issues and working with our partners to ensure these are investigated and addressed.

Ensure that surveillance records are kept and maintained properly, and that field surveillance and daily recording is carried out efficiently, maintain site surveillance management plan-tasks, frequency, and Monitor surveillance activities.

Contribute to Monthly analysis, evidence, and reporting to show risks, performance, and trends.

Liaise with Contract Relationship Managers and the Directors across the Road Maintenance and Motorway Partnerships subbranch to provide insights into service providers’ performance and systemic issues.

About you


You will combine your qualifications (Engineering/Trade), with proven broad experience in planning and executing the inspection of transport projects and asset maintenance programs.

You will also bring demonstrated knowledge and experience in time management, documentation, reporting, and analysis.

Your first-class communication skills and stakeholder management skills will ensure your success in the role.
