Then you could be the perfect person to join the ISLHD Domestic Family Violence and Sexual Assault Service (DFVSAS) located on the lands of the Dharawal and Yuin nations. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone to join the busy and dynamic DFVSAS team. This position is part of a team of counsellors, providing assessments, crisis and ongoing counselling to adults who have experienced domestic violence, and children and adults who have experienced sexual assault. Our ideal candidate will:
-Have knowledge and understanding of working with children who have experienced sexual assault and/or with children under 10 with problematic and/or harmful sexualised behaviour
-Have knowledge and understanding of the impacts of trauma on the brain and body
-Understands the impact of colonisation, patriarchy and other social political systems that have impacted Indigenous Australian experience of violence and abuse
-Have the ability to provide clinical and cultural supervision, professional development and education

ISLHD operate four hospital sites on Dharawal Country in the Illawarra: Coledale Hospital, Bulli Hospital, Wollongong Hospital and Shellharbour Hospital.

· Full registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist or a Social Work degree and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW); including the ability to demonstrate a practical application of the Psychology/AASW Code of Ethics.

· Working With Children Check (WWCC)

· NSW Drivers Licence

· Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.
