  • Permanent full-time (35 hours per week)
  • Office location – Buronga or Albury location / Hybrid working supported
  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $106,025 base to $117,363 top + super

The Water Group is currently seeking to appoint a Project Officer Joint Programs to undertake a range of program administration, project management, financial and reporting activities to contribute to the development and delivery of the River Murray Joint Programs – Salt Interception Schemes.

The role involves the delivery of effective program administrative services and activities to support effective Salt Interception Scheme (SIS) planning, delivery and reporting activities, including inter-agency and executive reporting, preparation of schedules, coordinating resources, developing and maintaining project documentation including project plans, operations and maintenance manuals, risk registers, asset management and safety systems.

Key accountabilities

  • Undertake the effective and timely preparation of procurement documentation, calling of tenders and management of minor contracts including collation and auditing of appropriate licenses, safety management systems and other departmental procurement requirements.
  • Undertake the evaluation of operational policy and procedures to assess appropriateness, effectiveness and efficiency, and determine the need for corrective action and review and research, evaluation and analysis to identify emerging issues and prepare recommendations to resolve policy or process issues and inform program activities.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committees and consultations to facilitate exchange of information. This will support program and legislative requirements for the delivery of divisional activities.
