On the back of Project growth within our Sydney Water (West) team we are looking to appoint a Project Manager to work in our Facilities Management Team.



The Role:


Our FM Team are seeking to engage a Project Manager to lead delivery of FM Projects across Western Sydney servicing critical water and wastewater sites. The projects vary in cost and discipline across a wide range of activities and sites.


This is a customer focused role and is responsible for delivery to our client (Sydney Water). As the Project Manager you and your team will have an active role in the planning of new projects, providing technical input and the development of methodologies, programme of works and risk.


This role is responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of concurrent projects in line with safety, quality, schedule, budget, and scope objectives.



As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate the following:



  • Effectively and professionally manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Manage team of Project Coordinator and Supervisor

  • Contract management, planning and financial management including preparation of variations, and extensions of time.

  • Ensure activities are carried out in accordance with the company’s safety, quality assurance & environmental management system.

  • Manage internal and subcontractor resources

  • Coordinate deliverables to achieve project time and budget objectives and report effectively

  • Manage numerous projects within the program of works concurrently



What you will need:



  • Prior experience in Facilities Maintenance Projects in an industrial or water facility would be highly desired

  • A good understanding of control systems

  • Knowledge of project financial management, forecasting, procurement, and contracts management functions

  • A strong safety focus

  • An affinity for continuous improvement and innovation, applying learnings to ‘real world’ project delivery environments.

  • Alignment with our shared values of Safety Leadership, Care and Empathy, Customer Service, Diversity, Inclusion and Equality.

  • Experience in front-line management of people and work teams

  • Effective communication skills, influencing ability and sound decision-making skills.

  • Full clean driver’s licence
