Job Description

  • 3 years fixed term (STS $182,813 - $248,629) + super & benefits.

  • Leading transaction management services for infrastructure projects within the Roads Program.
  • Providing specialised construction procurement and commercial advice to internal stakeholders, anticipating and managing transaction, probity and commercial related issues, mitigating risks as required to meet value for money outcomes and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Developing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships within VIDA, external Designers and Contractors, probity advisor and auditor and central agencies to effectively navigate construction procurement and probity complexities.
  • Building and leading a high-performing small team of construction transaction management specialists, fostering a positive, open, delivery focused culture that values and supports others, and has an approach based on collaboration, achievement and challenging the status quo.
  • Ensuring all construction procurement activities adhere to applicable policies, legislative requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives within the transaction management function, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiency and which contribute to the broader strategic objectives of MRPV.

Reporting to the Director, Commercial, the Senior Manager, Transaction will play a key role in Major Road Projects Victoria (MRPV), leading and delivering transaction management services for infrastructure projects within the Roads Program and providing commercial and contractual advice throughout the procurement.

The Senior Manager, Transaction will establish and lead a small high-performing team, which will be responsible for managing and delivering the construction procurements, including via MRPV’s Program Delivery Approach, which utiltises a panel approach and includes a number of contract types and procurement strategies.

This role will also require the delivery of a program of infrastructure procurements, managing resources and timeframes to ensure requirements are met in accordance with applicable policies, legislative requirements and industry best practices.

Exceptional internal and external stakeholder management skills are essential to effectively coordinate and navigate project complexities.

This opportunity is a 3-year fixed-term.
