Job Description

Our client is a multinational scientific product company and empower scientists to solve for complex analytical challenges. They are currently seeking for a Project Manager to join their Adelaide team.


As a Project Manager, you will coordinate various functions to deliver successful projects for their customers in the competitive Minerals Processing market, where time-to-market is critical. Your role will involve developing strategies with cross-functional teams to plan and execute projects on time and within budget. You will act as the primary customer interface, collaborating daily with engineering and production teams to track progress, resolve issues, and ensure clear communication with customers regarding their project status.



Responsibilities



  • Define and agree on the scope of work with internal stakeholders and customers, including expectations around quality and on-time delivery, and represent the business at kick-off meetings.

  • Maintain clear project documentation, ensuring transparency regarding status, milestones, and customer demands.

  • Collaborate with engineering to create bill of materials and enter project details into the ERP system promptly.

  • Plan and monitor project activities to ensure deadlines are met and deliverables align with the contracted scope of work.

  • Resolve project issues and manage resource constraints in a timely manner.

  • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders on deliverables, timelines, and critical issues.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction by managing expectations, troubleshooting issues, and providing timely reports and financial forecasts.

  • Submit all required vendor documentation, including engineering drawings, performance test data, and regulatory information, within project timelines.

  • Evaluate project outcomes, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions using Root-Cause Counter-Measure (RCCM) tools.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.



Skills and Experience



We are looking for a candidate who demonstrates the following:



  • Tertiary degree in Science, Engineering, or Project Management certification (or equivalent experience)

  • Demonstrated experience in setting and achieving goals, managing tasks, meeting deadlines, and multi-tasking effectively

  • Proven ability to build strong customer relationships, proactively responding to customer needs in a dynamic environment

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence stakeholders

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate data and provide accurate reports and workable solutions

  • Experience using project management tools and ERP systems

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications for project planning and milestone tracking

  • Knowledge of commercial contracts and terms & conditions

  • Experience in the industrial processing or mining industry is an advantage
