Our Engineering and Technical temporary recruitment team is looking for a new Recruitment Consultant to run an established scientific desk.

The position has become available due to an internal transfer to our Melbourne office - the current recruiter has had the desk firing for the past couple of years - perfect for you to come in and take the reins!

This is a permanent full-time position, offering a competitive salary and quarterly commission structure. We're based in Burswood, close to free parking and public transport.

Your typical day will involve sourcing temporary candidates for some of WA's best employers, and helping candidates find their dream role. You'll also target new businesses and grow your desk further.

We have a strong number of current temporary vacancies for you to work on as soon as you start. They are with some of WA's biggest and best employers - companies that people want to work for. That makes your job easier when you are trying to find prospective candidates.

We're an established team of recruiters too. When you start, you'll have a team of people here to help you settle and make you feel at home. You'll also go through an extensive training program within your first couple of months. Everything you need to succeed in the role.

In terms of a standard day, you'll look after:

• Dealing with existing clients' staffing requirements, as well as prospecting for new business


• Liaising directly with hiring managers regarding job vacancies


• Advertising, sourcing candidates via a variety of avenues, including Seek, Seek Talent, LinkedIn, our database, networking - and any other means to get the right person for the job.


• Looking after pre-employment such as reference checking, work rights checks and setting up placements within our Fast Track database.


• Visiting client sites and meeting with hiring managers and on-site employees


• Post-placement care of on-site employees


• Other recruitment related duties.

In terms of your background, you'll ideally have some experience in a previous recruitment role. However, we're also open to graduates in HR or a similar discipline, as well as someone from a sales or customer service background. You'll also ideally have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a sense of urgency, and the ability to prioritise your work.
