About the Role

The Level 1-2 Speech Pathologist will be a valued member of the Admitted Speech Pathology team and will be required to provide clinical speech pathology services to all admitted wards in Albury & Wodonga hospitals. The team participate in caseload rotations across the admitted services and work flexibly across all wards in response to clinical demand. This position is ideally suited to someone who has a strong interest in developing clinical skills in a range of acute & admitted subacute settings, including opportunity to complete workplace learning in areas such as VFSS, FEES, laryngectomy, tracheostomy & paediatric feeding. We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity.

  • Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent and eligible for full practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia

  • Demonstrated ability to assess, diagnose and manage communication, swallowing and oral motor disorders for the relevant clinical populations of AWH using evidence-based practice.

  • Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively across a variety of teams in the advocacy of patient centred care and resolution of conflict

  • Demonstrated commitment to quality and safety improvement activities

  • Demonstrated ability to manage personal workload

  • Demonstrated commitment to own professional development
