The Role:
The role of Field Service Manager is to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations the City of Sydney field staff maintenance team in relation to the undertaking of all routine and non-routine maintenance activities such as cleaning, repairing, electrical, condition, structural, quality and WHS inspections of QMS street furniture infrastructure. This involves the management of approximately 25 field staff and a fleet of vehicles.
What you will be able to do:

Distribute daily work orders and supervise/direct field staff.
Liaise and supervise the field staff on their day-to-day cleaning and repair activities of street furniture, while ensuring all works completed as per the program, to the required standards.
Assist in development and planning of preventive maintenance for Street Furniture. Monitoring of associated field works and ensuring all works completed as per the program, to the required standards.
Oversee/conduct the training for the recruited field staff as per the training plans. In addition, play a vital role in actively coaching, mentoring and developing field workforce.
Conduct weekly toolbox meetings with employees; maintain minutes.
Liaise with various internal stakeholders for arrangement of resources required for day-to-day maintenance activities.
Carry out necessary periodic quality inspections of the fleet, plant, and on-site maintenance/repair activities and coordinate with operations administrator for arranging preventive maintenance of the plant.
Manage the performance of field staff periodically and on an as needed basis.
Provide inputs as required for weekly/monthly reports for maintenance/repairs works to all affected internal stakeholders.
Actively promote safe working culture at workplace, ensure safety violations are managed efficiently, ensure all hazards, incidents, near misses are reported in accordance with company procedures.
Undertake quality inspection in the field and meet company quality targets and expectations.
Undertake WHSE inspections in the field and ensure company WHSE requirements are met or exceeded.

What are we looking for?
Ideally you will possess the following skills and attributes:

Full NSW “C” class driving license
Proven experience managing field workforce
Knowledge of delivering regular toolbox talks and on the job training
Forklift license (Desirable)
Hands on, happy to “get stuck in” when needed
Effective and efficient conflict management skills
Primary focus on WHSEQ factors
Respectful, collaborative, consultative and empowering; a team player
