About the role
Reporting to the Digital Managing Editor, the Digital Content Producer is responsible for driving audience, engagement and reach by creating a wide range of content from viral to evergreen, for success via social and SEO strategies.
Their primary role is to source, write, build and publish on-brand content that grows audience, traffic, volume and brand awareness for the digital platforms of the Entertainment Vertical. This role will primarily be working across Woman’s Day and Now To Love.
This role would suit a journalist with a passion for entertainment, royals, celebrity, TV and lifestyle. The Digital Content Producer will be responsible for writing a mix of news, features, SEO-led pieces and shoppable content across entertainment, real life, beauty, fashion and more.
They will also be responsible for creating unique, original content for the brand’s social platforms and EDMs. An ability to create social media content such as Instagram reels is a bonus, though training will be provided.
Experience using analytics tools to create data-informed content is a bonus, but not crucial (training provided).
What is more important is a passion for the brands, a strong eye for stories that will resonate with our audiences, and an ability to meet deadlines.
Duties

Stay across trending entertainment news that interest the Woman’s Day and Now to Love audience
Pitch daily news stories, source imagery and create well-written and on-brand stories that are original and drive audience and traffic
Researching and liaising with talent for stories
Creating shoppable content in line with the companies’ content commerce KPIs.
Interviewing high-profile talent
Using analytics and data to drive insights to inform content choices
Content creation for Facebook and Instagram
Create and send branded EDMs


Skills and experience

Strong writing skills with excellent spelling and grammar
Good knowledge of Australia’s entertainment space including celebrity, reality TV and royals
Confident in pitching original angles and stories
Solid interpersonal skills
Experience with analytics skills such as Google Analytics will be highly regarded
Experience with the following will be highly regarded: WordPress, Canva
Strong understanding of social media platforms
Background in creating and curating content, tailored for both brand and audience at scale required for digital publishing
Ability to work independently when needed but support the Digital Managing Editor, Senior Content Producer and wider team in achieving traffic goals.
