Here at the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC) we have an opportunity to join the Legal, Policy and Compliance Division as a Manager Policy.

The Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC) is an independent statutory authority which regulates Victoria's gambling industry. As an organisation, we license, inform, educate, monitor and enforce the gambling industry through a risk-based approach to regulation. This approach allows us to focus on minimising harm to the community and supports our vision of ensuring integrity, safety and fairness of the gambling industry for all Victorians.

Our opportunity

The Manager Policy responsible for leading a small team of policy experts. The Manager Policy is responsible for providing expert proactive strategic advice and recommendations to VGCCC on a range of complex policy issues including policy frameworks and gaps in regulation of the gambling industry in Victoria.

Key accountabilities

  • Provide leadership, and authoritative strategic and policy advice and recommendations to the Executive and Commissioners on policy framework relating to the regulation of the gambling industry in Victoria.
  • Provide leadership in the ongoing enhancement of gambling regulation and work with other Divisions, to proactively deliver policy framework advice for the organisation

Who we are looking for

To be successful in this position you will have:

  • Significant regulatory policy experience in developing frameworks for industry is an advantage
  • A proven track record in leading a policy team in the provision of expert advice on complex policy position within a complex regulatory environment
