Job Description

The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VHBA also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines.   During early 2024, we became a Project Office within the Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority (VIDA), joining sister projects including the Metro Tunnel Project, Level Crossing Removal Project, West Gate Tunnel Project and Major Road Projects Victoria led by Director-General, Kevin Devlin.

The opportunity

The primary purpose of the Project Officer role is to support the management and implementation of Legal and Commercial components of the Parkville Precinct Redevelopment. The role will be responsible for supporting the project team to deliver the project planning, managing client relationships, engagement and management of consultants and contractors, project budget and delivery, performance reporting.

We are looking for:

  • Proven relationship building skills with experience of establishing and maintaining relationships
  • Exceptional written communication skills to support the preparation of briefs, letters, emails, reports and meeting minutes
  • Experience with preparation and presentation of reports, governance papers, ministerial briefs, cabinet submissions on project related matters
  • Well-developed office-based computer literacy, including Office 365 applications
  • Experience keeping accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records
