About the role

The Director Strategic Advisory supports the Director Business Strategy in managing and leading Business Strategy, a support division to the CEO and wider Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP). Business Strategy uses its understanding of government and industry to advance LXRP’s strategic direction and maintain an effective interface with the government. The Director, Strategic Advisory is accountable for ensuring the CEO’s leadership, strategy, governance, and briefing requirements are met.

In this role you will

  • Lead LXRP’s strategic planning function, raise awareness of the LXRP Blueprint, embed it into the Project’s strategies and plans, and report on program benefits.
  • Coordinate and respond to strategic policy issues that are the product of LXRP’s external environment and that have a material impact on the delivery of the LXRP.
  • Lead agile and innovative change initiatives for organisational effectiveness by researching high performing organisations, undertaking regular assessments of the LXRP, and developing and implementing strategies that span structure, people, processes and information.
  • Deliver high quality complex Cabinet submissions, briefings, project documents, and presentations.
  • Manage a range of strategic projects, bringing together subject matter experts and stakeholders from across the organisation.

This is a 3-year fixed term position, paying a total renumeration package (TRP) between $225,000 - $290,600.

About you

You don’t shy away from a challenge, have impeccable time management skills and you’re agile and adaptable to an ever-changing landscape of works. You’ll need to be resilient and flexible in your approach and apply your expert analytic and problem-solving skills when addressing various matters.

  • Highly astute analytical capabilities with the ability to convey complex and technical issues to a range of audiences.
  • Demonstrated capacity to drive complex issues and achieve solutions, including within various contracting environments.
  • An appropriate tertiary qualification and experience working within a government and /or infrastructure environment will be highly regarded.
