The Opportunity

Cornell is seeking an ambitious, detail-oriented Investment Analyst to join our client's growing team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting fundraising activities and wider investor-related initiatives, contributing to the firm’s mission to back the most promising deep tech startups in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and management of fundraising activities.
• Support communication with current and prospective investors.
• Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging technologies, industry trends, and potential investment opportunities.
• Assist in the due diligence process for new investments, including analysing financial statements, business models, and market potential.

Qualifications

• Strong academic background.
• A passion for new and emerging technologies, with a keen interest in deep tech and innovation.
• Prior experience or a solid understanding of VC and the startup space.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with entrepreneurs and investors.
• A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
