Job Description

Are you someone who thrives on solving problems creatively? At WDC Creative, it’s in our DNA, and we’re looking for a Senior Account Manager who shares this mindset to join our dynamic team. This role will primarily sit within the branding and digital part of the business, managing projects including brand building, brand comms and website design.

If you’re an exceptional Senior Account Manager with a proactive attitude, a self-starter who takes initiative, and someone who’s driven to succeed, we’d love to meet you. We value individuals who take ownership of their work and are passionate about making an impact. This role will allow you to work on a diverse range of exciting design projects, from branding to websites to creative campaigns.

What we're looking for:

  • Attitude & drive: We're looking for someone with a positive, 'can-do' attitude who is eager to take on challenges and see them through. You need to be self-motivated and driven to deliver outstanding results for our clients.
  • Initiative & accountability: We value team members who use their initiative and are comfortable being accountable for their work, consistently pushing projects forward.
  • Creative problem solving: You enjoy exploring how to find the best solutions for our client challenges, continually trying to improve. You appreciate how customer behaviour influences what we do and can translate this into actionable briefs for our design team.
  • Collaborative spirit: While you’ll need to work independently at times, you should also be happy working as a team and be able to communicate your ideas effectively.
  • Experience: We are looking for a Senior Account Manager with flexibility about the exact level, although you will ideally have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience (preferably in a creative agency). B2B experience would be an advantage.
  • Passion: We’re particularly interested in candidates who care about what they do, including an interest in sustainability as we explore ways to drive this agenda further.

Your responsibilities:

  • Client relationship management: You’ll be a primary point of contact for our clients, taking responsibility for ensuring their needs are understood and translated into clear, actionable briefs for our design team.
  • Project management: Your strong organisational skills will help you manage timescales and budgets, ensuring projects run smoothly, and efficiently and are commercially on target.
  • Creative briefing: You’ll dig deep into client and customer needs to provide clear direction for our creative team, to deliver final outputs that exceed expectations.

What we offer:

  • Professional growth: As part of a small and growing team, you’ll have the opportunity to grow and progress in line with your skills and effort. We provide the support, coaching, and training to guide your development.
  • Diversity of clients and sectors: You’ll work with a variety of brands, from global businesses to local schools, ensuring no two days are the same.
  • Supportive environment: We offer a collaborative and inclusive working environment where teamwork is key, and your contributions are valued.
  • Attractive package: Enjoy a competitive salary (depending on experience), 28 days of holiday per year (and paid bank holidays) plus you’ll be paid to take an additional day off to celebrate your birthday. We also offer other benefits such as death in service, an income replacement scheme, and a cycle-to-work scheme.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous client and creative management experience, ideally within an agency environment. You will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience, but personality and attitude are just as important, and for the right person we will craft the role to suit.
  • Client-facing expertise: You must be confident, articulate, and able to quickly build rapport and trust with our clients.
  • Education: A degree-level education is essential, with exceptional written and spoken English skills.

This role will be based in our studio in Manchester's Northern Quarter.

So if you’re ready to bring your energy, initiative, and ideas to a team that values your contributions and will help you develop both personally and professionally, we’d love to hear from you.

Please respond with your CV and a cover letter explaining why you feel you’d be a good asset to the WDC team.
