Manchester Based


Anticipated earnings range from £35,000 to £80,000 annually

Our Logistics client is a leader in the industry, they are actively seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join their dynamic team at their Manchester Depot. The Role:


As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving business growth by identifying prospective clients and demonstrating the advantages of partnering. Ensuring the highest standards of service continuity is critical to this role, making it essential for the successful candidate to be a motivated self-starter with a strong drive to secure profitable new business.


Key Responsibilities:

· Conduct market research and competitor analysis to uncover new business opportunities.

· Develop and implement a sales plan to drive increased sales and revenue growth.

· Achieve ambitious sales and revenue targets, monitoring progress and taking corrective action when needed.

· Maintain activity levels to fill the sales pipeline and generate sufficient leads.

· Enhance sales processes to boost productivity.

· Build and nurture strong relationships with customers to drive retention.

· Understand customer needs and align services to meet those needs.

· Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure target volumes are met and customer retention is maintained.

· Conduct regular reviews with new customers to ensure targets are being achieved.

· Establish service level agreements to minimize customer attrition.

· Use the CRM system fully to track all customer activity and communication.


Requirements:

· 2-3 years of field-based sales experience.

· Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

· Excellent interpersonal and active listening abilities.

· Clear and effective communication skills.

· Excellent negotiation skills

· Strong attention to detail.

· Proficiency in CRM tools.

· Problem-Solving and critical thinking

· Ability to multi-task and demonstrate good organisational skills.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, between the hours of 9am – 5pm, predominantly field based
