Pressure Vessel Design Engineer

The Company

An leading engineering company that specialises in the design and manufacturing of industrial filtration systems used in a wide range of industries.

The Role

This is a position that will require a dedicated and skilled Design Engineer. The role will include producing quality and bespoke design for specifics contracts in collaboration with the Design Manager. This is a hybrid-based position and will require at least 2 days a week in the office.

The work will include the following:

Prepare calculations and design of all vessels based on PD5500; EN and ASME codes of practice

Design vessel and components using Creo 3D CAD software

Operate the ISO 9001 control and conformance of design department function, issue control and drawing register

Produce manufacturing drawings for new and existing products and run ongoing product evaluation and development projects

Ensure that designs meet the requirements of the PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) and Pressure Equipment (Safety) regulations

The Candidate

To apply for this role, you must have;

1. HNC or above in Engineering or equivalent experience (i.e. a time served apprentice)

2. Experience of working in an engineering environment

3. Pressure Vessel experience and pressure vessel code experience

4. Experience of basic mechanical and design principles

5. Drawing/draughtsman experience
