Are you a passionate commercial procurement professional seeking an established and highly reputable organisation to provide you with diverse project exposure to further your strategic expertise? If so, this is the perfect position for you.

This industry-leading construction organisation is undergoing significant expansion of its procurement function to facilitate the delivery of high-value capital works programmes across exciting complex projects and is therefore seeking a passionate commercial procurement manager to join the team. You will be a lead stakeholder in driving strategic commercial decisions and end-to-end procurement processes across varying £multi-billion capital works projects. You will also be encouraged to challenge past processes and develop new innovative strategies to be implemented to ensure the function is fit for purpose prior to project delivery.

Each day will be different from the next where you’ll have the ability to apply your expertise to varying programmes and projects and across both short-term and long-term strategy creation, thus providing excellent opportunities for daily development alongside high-caliber individuals. Ambitious Commercial Procurement Manager responsibilities…

• Drive best-in-class commercial and procurement strategy across the end-to-end procurement function in relation to the delivery of infrastructure procurement projects
• Key accountability surrounding the pre and post contract management process in terms of maintaining best practice through transforming past strategy to ensure commercial opportunity is maximised, leading high-value negotiations with key suppliers and managing strategic sourcing activities
• Undertake a range of daily strategic procurement activities, from change management and continuous improvement to risk mitigation and management of supplier performance

Ambitious Commercial Procurement Manger requirements…

• Ideally past strategic exposure to the Infrastructure/ Capital Works/ Construction procurement space in relation to NEC and/ or JCT contracts
• Strong Commercial expertise in terms of pre and post contract management
• Success across the end-to-end procurement function, in relation to indirect procurement or direct procurement
