Job Description

As we embark on an exciting phase of developing new services, new markets, and rapid expansion, you will be instrumental in driving transformational change and achieving our ambitious targets!

Our category teams span a multi-billion-pound framework portfolios across all parts of the NHS and Healthcare System, including other blue light services, Local Government and wider public sector.

Crafting and defining the strategic focus for each area, you will develop and embed enhanced contract and supplier relationship management. You will deliver effective cross-functional collaboration, forge positive relationships, and a deep understanding both our customers and suppliers needs to deliver outstanding procurement solutions.

What you'll be doing:
  • Leading operational capability across each of our category teams, with a focus on the use of data and technology to drive efficiencies and improved outcomes.
  • Developing and motivating cross-functional category and contract & supplier relationship management teams.
  • Focusing on continuous improvement, best value, and quality improvements.
  • Line management responsibility, enabling staff to deliver, enhance their expertise and build procurement capability.
  • Creating and embedding an enhanced approach to contract and supplier relationship management within Procurement Solutions.
  • Advising development, implementation and evolvement of strategies, embedding these consistently across each team across Procurement Solutions.
  • Guiding and supervising the development of sourcing strategies across category, to assure competitiveness that will support current business profile and new initiatives.

What you'll bring:
  • CIPS Level 6 Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply
  • Proven experience within a category management and contract & supplier relationship management environment within the public sector.
  • Sound understanding of operating within a Public Sector Buying organisation environment.
  • Background within the NHS landscape at a senior level to identify and solution complex procurement requirements across the procurement lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of UK Public Contract Regulations, The Procurement Act and Provider Selection Regime.

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: NorthWest Hub (within a 2 hour commute)

Salary: circa £85,000 per annum (depending upon experience and development needs)
Benefits: £6,600 car allowance, 25 days annual leave with the option to buy additional days, private medical (couple), life assurance, pension, and generous flexible benefits fund
