  • Salary: $70,000 net p.a. + relocation and benefits
  • Location: Bali, Indonesia

The Chace People Team is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our client's exclusive wellness members' club nestled in the heart of Bali, Indonesia. This is an amazing time to join a unique wellness-focused community that serves over 600 members, primarily expatriates. Job Overview:

The Executive Chef will lead the kitchen team, overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations including menu development, food preparation, staff management, and budgeting. The role is critical in ensuring high-quality, healthy meals are consistently delivered, aligning with the club's focus on wellness. The Executive Chef will collaborate closely with management to drive both culinary creativity and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and update menus in collaboration with restaurant management, ensuring they align with customer preferences and market trends.
  • Manage daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring they are skilled and able to perform efficiently.
  • Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage supplier relationships to maintain cost-effective, high-quality ingredients.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene standards, including conducting regular kitchen inspections.
  • Collaborate with management to plan promotional events, seasonal menus, and ensure smooth front-of-house operations.
  • Track kitchen budget, manage food costs, and minimize waste while optimising resource usage.


Requirements:

  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience in culinary arts.
  • At least 5-7 years of professional kitchen experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in a 5-star hotel, Michelin-star restaurant, or fine dining/private club setting.
  • Expertise in various cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen management.
  • Financial acumen to manage kitchen budgets, inventory, and food costs effectively.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
  • Creativity in menu design, with an ability to stay ahead of food trends.
  • Passion for holistic wellness, sustainability, and culinary innovation.


This is a fast-paced role requiring extended periods of standing, working long hours, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously. The position demands flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, with a focus on maintaining high-pressure efficiency during peak service times.
