GENERAL FUNCTION

The Business Data Analyst supports the local Distribution and Operations team in gathering and compiling Data and reporting needs. Creates dashboards and visual ques for leadership as well as collaborates with Engineering and Project Managers to support CI events, Kaizen projects, VSMs, and any Ad Hoc reporting/data compilation.

The BA plays a key role in guaranteeing data integrity, working with central data teams to reconcile variances, improve the different processes through analysis of recurring issues, troubleshooting, and proposal of changes to both processes and systems.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Learns and understands business area processes and operating models; translates business needs into detail reporting and visuals for the business to use to streamline operations and share information.
  • Ability to convey and promote any recommendations, ultimately seeking buy-in and alignment across business teams.
  • Assists with projects, Coordinates with engineering, operations, or central teams in order to effect a variety of business solutions.
  • Understands both the business and IT systems to ensure the integrity of the data is coming from a trusted source of truth and is not compromised. If any variances are found, the BA works with teams to find the root cause, and assist in correcting.
  • Directs the business requirements gathering process by responsibly collecting, analyzing, documenting, and communicating business needs to ensure the solutions meet business requirements.
  • Serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all data and reporting aspects of processes related to logistics, distribution, warehouse, operations, and acts as the reference person to connect the IT department with the rest of the organization.
  • Perform User Acceptant Test for new enhancements and project implementations ensuring business requirements are fully met and potential risks are identified and mitigate.
  • Documents work, including change requests and functional specifications, end user documentation (SOP), troubleshooting best practices etc.
  • Facilitates meeting groups, tracks and influences progress and deliverables to resolve issues.

BASIC (REQUIRED) QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 4+ years Information Systems/Business experience.
  • Experience with SAP ERP, Power BI, and WMS (SAP DWM preferred)
  • Strong Analytical skills (SQL, DB management)
  • Critical thinking to identify opportunities with existing and new business processes
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and processes.
  • Experience with collecting requirements and implementation details
  • Experience sharing business requirements, functional specifications, wireframes, visual designs, and testing. Effective communicator.
  • Clear and practical understanding and experience integrating technical services
  • Highly proficient and knowledgeable in MS Office applications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with databases, ability to create, execute, and understand SQL queries to assist in data research.
  • Experience developing web tools
  • Experience with RPA and task automation tools (ex. UiPath)
  • Experience utilizing requirements, best practices, and standards in fashion industry

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
