Contract Type: Outside IR35
Location: Hybrid (just outside of London)
Contract Length: 18-Month Day Rate Contract
Overview:
We are seeking a Commercial Strategy Lead with Security Clearance to join our client, a key player undergoing a major transformation programme. This role offers the opportunity to lead and shape commercial strategy decisions during a critical period of change, supporting essential infrastructure and procurement choices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct make/buy analysis to assess whether a new infrastructure solution or outsourcing provides the best value for the organisation.
- Carry out route-to-market analysis to confirm whether the solution can be delivered under existing frameworks, or if a new or single contract is necessary.
- Develop and present the Commercial Case to ensure alignment of commercial decisions with investment goals.
- Collaborate with the commercial engagement team to ensure that the statement of requirements is fully understood and agreed upon by all stakeholders.
- Ensure smooth handover to the commercial strategy and procurement teams once the Commercial Case is completed.
Required Skillset:
- Commercial Acumen: Proven experience in translating business needs into a commercial strategy with a deep understanding of core commercial risks.
- Experience: Must have experience in managing complex commercial strategies valued at over £500 million in sectors such as construction, defence, or major complex programmes like rail projects.
- Leadership & Influence: Strong ability to produce effective strategy documents, present to C-suite executives, and influence high-level decision-making.
- Data-Led: Must be highly skilled in reviewing and analysing business and commercial data to produce insightful and actionable recommendations.
- Active Security Clearance
