Construction Manager (Highways maintenance, London)
Our client, a well-established civil engineering and highway maintenance company, is seeking a Construction Manager to join their team. With a strong presence in London. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and quality control checks
Ensure all projects comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
Develop detailed project plans outlining scope, timelines, resource allocation, milestones, and budgets
Coordinate with site managers, supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of daily tasks
Review and approve project documentation, including risk assessments, safety audits, procurement requests, and project reports
Participate in the negotiation of contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure favourable terms and conditions
Job Requirements:
Significant experience in civil engineering and highway maintenance
Understanding of NRSWA and Traffic Management Acts (ideally)
Experience with network and asset management software
Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations
Proficient in developing and managing detailed project plans
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to handle a busy workload and manage time efficiently
